In this article, speaking of Prince Skanderberg of Albania, Dumas states that he wants to keep his readers informed about European politics in general. This was his editorial line in the newspaper L’Indipendente.
The newspaper was founded in Naples by Dumas in 1860 in support of the Garibaldian cause. He resigned four years later to return to his business in Paris.
