Charles Garnier sends his apologies to a friend
“Mon cher ami,
Ch. Garnier”
Charles Garnier was an architect. He will remain best known for being the architect of the Opéra de Paris (Opéra Garnier), inaugurated in 1875.
Léonce Detroyat (1829-1898) was a French naval officer, politician and publicist. Garnier used his services and maintained abundant correspondence during the 1870s, when he was editor of the newspaper La Liberté.
