Lucien Bonaparte was the third son of Charles-Marie Bonaparte and Maria-Létizia Ramolino and the second brother of Napoleon Bonaparte. A French politician, he was a member of parliament and then president of the Council of Five Cents in 1799, Minister of the Interior from 1799 to 1800 and tribune in 1802. He was Roman prince of Canino, French prince in 1815, then prince of Musignano in 1824 and Prince Bonaparte in 1837 before his death in 1840.
