Alexandre Dumas married in January 5, 1840 in Paris (1st) the actress Ida Ferrier (born Marguerite-Joséphine Ferrand, 1811-1859) and settled with her in Florence. Ida Ferrier and Alexandre Dumas separated in 1844.
