Founded by Laurent Auxietre, Le Manuscrit Français specializes in the sale and acquisition of letters, manuscripts, and iconographic documents from major figures in literature, art, history, and the sciences. Our gallery was born of a desire for a new chapter in life, following a career in the trade of classic automobiles. After establishing ourselves in 2017, we now stand as one of the most recognized specialists in the the autograph and manuscript market. Our clientele ranges from prominent private collectors to major institutional libraries. All our documents are subject to a rigorous selection process: we are committed to offering pieces that are remarkable both for their content and for their rarity.

Our catalogue, deliberately eclectic, is structured around two principal domains: the arts and letters on the one hand, and history and the sciences on the other. Together, these letters and manuscripts intertwine emotion, historical understanding, and a rigorous understanding of historical facts.
