Baudelaire writes about his text Enchantements et tortures de l’Opium

« Monsieur,
Mon ami Poulet-Malassis, imprimeur à Alençon, Place d’Armes, me réclame à grands cris la seconde partie de l’Opium.
Vous l’avez sans doute oublié.
Veuillez agréer tous mes compliments.
Ch. Baudelaire »

Baudelaire evokes here his text “Enchantments et tortures de L’opium” published in La Revue Contemporaine on January 15, 1860; a magazine directed by Alphonse de Calonne and of which Bichet was the administrator. This text will incorporate his book Les Paradis artificiels.
