Important and unpublished aphorism of the philosopher
« As soon as we love the best in life, we become indifferent to death
H. Bergson »
There are very few sentences about death in the work of the pro-life philosopher. And each one hits the commentators. This is the case of this aphorism, which does not fail to surprise. It marks by its depth and singularity. Admittedly, there are aspects of The Creative evolution (1907) and especially of a precise passage from The Two Sources of Morality and Religion (1932, ch. 3, PUF, coll Quadrige, p. 277).
