Nice letter from the Marquis de Lafayette
Etienne de Jouy (1764-1846) était un dramaturge et un librettiste français. Il fut élu à l’académie française en 1815 et fut maire de Paris en juillet-août 1830.
Dans cette lettre, il est question du décès de l’homme politique et banquier français Jean-Antoine Joseph Davillier (1754-1831) qui était mort le 16 janvier.
Etienne de Jouy (1764-1846) was a French playwright and librettist. He was elected to the French Academy in 1815 and was mayor of Paris in July-August 1830.
The letter refers to the death of French politician and banker Jean-Antoine Joseph Davillier (1754-1831) who died on 16 January.
