Pierre Reverdy is a French poet associated with Cubism, Dadaism and early Surrealism. He had a notable influence on modern French-language poetry.
His notable works are Les Ardoises du toit (1918), Sources du vent (1929), La Liberté des mers (1947-1955) and Sable mouvant (1959).

André Level (1863-1947) is a French businessman and collector who distinguished himself by forming the first collection of French modern art.
