Autograph letter signed « J. Kessel » to Jean Laurent
N.p, 13th May 1937, 1 p. in-8 oblong
Nice letter from Joseph Kessel to a friend
“Mon cher Jean Laurent,
Une phrase sur un album est toujours une confession.
Mais, entre augures… n’est-ce pas?
Alors laissez-moi vous dire simplement ma vive sympathie.
J. Kessel
“Confession” Le 13 mai 1937″
Hired as an aviator during the First World War, Joseph Kessel drew from this human experience his first great literary success, published at the age of 25. From then on, his novelistic work is nourished by the human adventure in which he immerses himself, in search of exceptional men. After the war, he devoted himself in parallel to journalism and writing novels.
