André Marissel (1928-2006) is a French poet, literary critic and essayist. He collaborates with a large number of magazines including the N.R.F, les Cahiers du Sud, Esprit, La Table Ronde etc. In 1980, he created and directed the magazine “Les cahiers de l’archipel” until 2005. He has also been a lecturer specializing in contemporary French poetry. André Marissel was a member of the jury of the François-Villon Poetry Prize.
Marissel published an essay on Beckett at University Publishing the following year.

Jérôme Lindon (1925-2001) is a French publisher. From 1948 until his death, he directed Les Éditions de Minuit, through which he had a major influence on French literature, notably the promotion of the authors of the Nouveau Roman as well as two future Nobel Prizes in literature, Samuel Beckett and Claude Simon.
