The father of experimental medicine asks his correspondent about his recent studies on cholera

« Mon cher Mr Worms
Claude Bernard »

Considered the founder of experimental medicine, Claude Bernard left his name to the Claude Bernard-Horner syndrome. We owe him the notions of interior environment and homeostasis, foundations of modern physiology.

This note is probably addressed to Mayer Goudchaux Worms (1807-1881), doctor attached to the army health service in Algeria, then chief doctor of the military school of Saint-Cyr.
