One of the most elegant portraits of the composer by Lipnitzky
This portrait of Ravel is among the finest known of him. Seated in three-quarter view, his hand can be seen resting on his knee. The low-angle effect sought by the photographer Boris Lipnitzky lends the composer an air at once of superiority and of benevolence.
