A fine eulogy about Botticelli, excerpt from his most famous story: Voyage du condottière

Published in 1932, Le Voyage du condottière is Suarès’ most famous story. Written following his travels in Italy between 1893 and 1928, the author vividly expresses his impressions of Italian places and artists.
There is a variant at the end of the manuscript: “Botticelli’s forms are flowers” does not appear in his published work.
