Scarce and superb portrait of the thirty-three-year-old musician


Dressed in a double-breasted frock coat, the musician appears in a seated and relaxed position, arms crossed and his gaze serene.
It was in this same year that Tchaikovsky composed his first piano concerto in B flat minor, which earned him a bad review from Nikolai Rubinstein.
