« Romance du Roman de la Rose
Le vin dame le pion
au plus vigoureux champion
il trébuche, il trébuche
sous sa cruche
Mais toi, buche,
très-buche
dis moi ce qui détruit l’us
l’us de la dive bouteille,
bulle de frère Bacchus
et du pape Philocus ?
Qui dame l’us de la treille ?
alors que bien malgré nous
nous nous mettons à genoux
et que notre oreille écoute
un te-deum laudamus ?
J’aime mieux quoi qu’il m’en coûte
t’aider, homme : l’eau dame us
ouf !!!!!
Alfred »
Poetic banter, concluded with a pleasant “phew”, probably written in a moment of intimate sociability, as suggested by the mentions of the time of another hand on the back, a quatrain and a quintil written on the same funny model based on calembour.
