The nostalgic Pagnol sends a tender and amusing letter to his friend, the actor Maurice Escande, who shot his film Le Gendre de monsieur Poirier

« Mon cher Maurice,
Marcel »

The first film directed by Marcel Pagnol in 1934, Le gendre de monsieur Poirier tells the story of an aristocrat, a lover of frivolities, until the day he decides to change his life to devote himself to his wife and work. The actor Maurice Escande (1892-1973) played the role of Hector de Montmeyran.
